

Jim Gatling from Morrilton, AR, is known for his "save it and use it." He will be teaching us how to use our artistic style to put a scrappy crazy quilt together. For this class you can bring your sewing machine and scraps to work on, or just come and observe. Class time is Friday June 4th, 9:00-11:30 am. Cost of the class is $25.00.

Lola Jenkins is known for her beautiful portrait quilts. Her first class is teaching the technique of creating a portrait. Fabric and pattern are provided, but you will need to bring a foamcore board, black Sharpie, tracing paper, applique scissors and iron (small applique iron will do). Class time is Friday, June 4th, 1:00-4:00 pm. Cost of the class is $50.00.
Her second class is Thread Art for Portrait Quilts. You will explore a variety of techniques to quilt portrait. You will need to bring an applique portrait quilt and/or a panel that has birds, people or something interesting to practice techniques on. A workable sewing machine with a free motion foot, in which the feed dogs can be dropped, and a thread stand are required. Class time is Saturday, June 5th, 1:00-4:00 pm. Cost of the class is $35.00.
